The First Thrice Yearning Ceremony Sponsored by the Library

Venerable Wudao on the hosting Master's seat
The first Thrice Yearning Ceremony sponsored by the library was held on June 26, 2005. More than 70 people participated the event; for most of them, this was the first experience.

The visibly sincere attitude and dedication of Venerable Wu Dao, the venerable in charge, and the other six venerables, and their perfectly coordinated instrument playing, reciting and singing throughout the ceremony earned deep admiration from all of the participants. For the participants, it was an eye-opening experience!

June 26 was one of a series of hot and sunny days. However, at the end of the first section and the beginning of the second, there were severe thunders followed by pouring rain from the clear sky, which created a supernaturally phenomenal scene. The Nature is resonating with our sincerity!

Thrice Yearning Ceremony

At the dinner time, our two volunteers went back to the library to get more Dharma items for out-of-state friends. On the way, they even witnessed another supernatural scene of beautiful rainbows and pouring rain in the clear sky.

The harmony and the dignity reflected in the ceremony, plus the resonating phenomenon, indeed reinforced many Dharma friendsˇ¦ confidence on the Buddha name chanting cultivation method. Besides transferring the merits to the tsunami victims, this is another real benefit to all of us.
